Jesse is held in high esteem in the PCT community as “Foot Jesus”. He works as a certified Pedorthist at The Fifth Season in Mount Shasta, year round, and has recently joined the Blaze Physio team to extend his help to hikers at other points in their journey.
His background includes a certification from Masterfit Inc., and Sidas for the fitting of ski boots and other outdoor technical footwear. After these certs Jesse pursued a several year training to become a certified Pedorthist in 2022.
Jesse currently lives in Mount Shasta with his family, and loves to spend a lot of time outdoors either skiing, mountain biking or backpacking.
His virtual appointments are available through Blaze Physio to discuss footwear/orthotics and blister management. He can help you understand how to choose the right footwear combination, what to look for, and when to get a physical assessment. He also has experience managing blisters and the correlation they may have to footwear selection.
If you would like to have an orthotic made, or see him in person, please contact The Fifth Season in Mount Shasta to schedule an appointment.

Morgan Drew, PT, DPT joined the Blaze Physio team after completing the PCT in 2025. In addition to her multiple thru hikes, she has experience in orthopedic and sports physical therapy with a special interest in runners and hikers.
As a UESCA-certified Run Coach, Morgan works with athletes transitioning from thru-hiking to running. Many hikers feel inspired after a big trail experience to pursue goals like ultra marathons, but aren’t sure how to train safely or where to start. Morgan offers individualized coaching services designed to bridge that gap—helping athletes progress intelligently, reduce injury risk, and confidently reach the starting line of their goal race.
Morgan is also currently based in Tucson, AZ and will be helping AZT hikers both in person and remotely. She also spends some time in Colorado and will extend some in-person services to CT and CDT hikers, as well as additional telehealth coverage to keep more hikers on trail.

Deserrae “Early Bird” Potts is a thru hiker turned ultra-runner and now a coach. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Ohio State University in 2019 before going on to hike the Triple Crown of long distance hiking in addition to several other shorter trails. She ran her first ultra marathon shortly after finishing the AZT in 2024 and has been hooked ever since. She finds that ultra running helps her stay connected to the hiker trash side of herself that loves to pursue big goals in the mountains and also balance the demands of a full time job, staying plugged into her community, and pursuing education simultaneously. She is a UESCA certified ultra-running coach and is looking forward to helping thru hikers continue to pursue goals outside of the trail. She realizes the unique physical and mental strengths that thru hikers develop on the trail and would love to help them apply it to their ultra running goals.
Deserrae currently lives in Bozeman, Montana with her German short-haired pointer puppy named Twig. She will be joining University of Montana’s DPT class of 2029 in Missoula this fall.
